Rudrank's Dispatch: Cyber Monday.
Happy new start of the week! Writing this newsletter might not be the best way to tackle Monday blues, but I am enjoying the exponential train of my book's Black Friday revenue - and I am extending the sale for Cyber Monday and the whole week! 🎉
Also, I have switched platforms! The new one is much better with built-in Discord-style community support. You are automatically in the affiliate program too (up to 10 dollars per referral!).
I manually localized for different currencies, and it is paying off - seeing lots of sales from Taiwan that Gumroad did not support the purchasing power parity for.
Been grinding hard lately with Cursor and shipping stuff - check my GitHub if you are curious.
Have not written much of an article to share, but been deep in experimentation mode. Let me share a few things:
MLX
Last month, I got an iPhone 16 Pro Max in Seoul and I want to see how much I can squeeze out of that latest chip. I started exploring MLX Swift, Apple's framework for maching learning on Apple Silicon.
First experiment:
Built a workout assistant for my runs using MLX Swift! Uses my HealthKit data for personalization and Qwen 2.5 3B for local inference.

Plus, got voice cloning working:

I built all these mostly with Cursor and Composer - really getting the hang of making this AI IDE work for me. I have spent tons of hours with it and at a point where I should start creating videos about it instead because there is too much to write.
Quote of the Week:
> Code like nobody's watching, ship like everybody is.
This one is generated by Claude, and it is ironic because all of my recent work is open-sourced which means everyone is watching.
The World of AI
If you have made it this far, I have some news for you. I will slowly pivot this newsletter to be iOS + AI related stuff.
Too much going on in the world of AI and I feel it is boring out here for Apple Platforms. I have not decided on the name yet, but there will be 2 small 300-400 words issues a week, because there is always more to cover.
Till then, stay humble to this new world of AI and keep shipping!
