Unchain is a breakup recovery and no contact support app created by Rudrank Riyam. The app is designed to be privacy-conscious and to keep your personal journaling data on your device whenever possible.

Information Stored On Your Device

Unchain may store the following information locally on your device:

Journal entries and written reflections
Voice journal audio recordings you choose to create
Transcriptions generated from your voice journal sessions
No contact streak data, onboarding answers, and app preferences
Widget-related data shared locally through the app group

This information is primarily stored locally on your device so the app can provide journaling, streak tracking, widgets, and recovery tools.

Microphone And Speech Recognition

If you use voice journaling, Unchain requests access to your microphone so it can record audio that you choose to create.

Unchain uses Apple's Speech framework for transcription and is configured to require on-device speech recognition when supported. If on-device recognition is unavailable, transcription features may be limited instead of sending your journal audio to an external speech service.

Subscriptions And Purchases

Unchain uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, purchases, and entitlement status. Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase and subscription-related information such as:

Subscription status and purchase history
App-specific subscriber identifiers
Receipt and transaction metadata needed to validate purchases
Limited diagnostics needed to operate purchase flows

Purchase-related processing is also subject to Apple's and RevenueCat's own privacy practices.

What Unchain Does Not Do

Unchain does not sell your personal data.
Unchain does not include third-party advertising.
Unchain is not designed to share your journal entries or voice recordings with advertisers.

Data Sharing

Your journal content and audio recordings are intended to remain on your device. Unchain may rely on service providers such as Apple and RevenueCat for platform functionality, purchases, and infrastructure required to operate the app. Information may also be disclosed if required by law.

Retention And Deletion

Local journal entries, recordings, and related app data remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app, subject to how iOS manages app data and backups.
