Ah, here we go again.

Welcome to my new newsletter! I am sending this mail because you either subscribed to my newsletter in the past (Random Ramblings) or the professional one (rryam Swift weekly).

I plan to simplify my life next year. One newsletter. Every Monday. (Merry Christmas, so this one goes on a Tuesday!)

If you are an iOS developer, you may know why I used the name Rudrank's Dispatch. I used to slap DispatchQueue.main.async every time I faced an asynchronous bug. Yep, you may be guilty of doing it too!

It is about my thoughts, work, and books I read during the week.

Posts I published

I started this new website again to reignite my love for writing. I do not want to be all things Apple Platforms development. I just want to be me. I love to write, and I know people love to read what I write.

There are three articles that I want to share. I am mostly exploring and writing about my public speaking experiences, which I hope inspire you to get on the stage and share your knowledge with others!

Exploring Conferences: Speaking at Meet-ups, Swift Delhi 20, my first official public speaking experience that went well, fortunately!

Exploring Conferences: Speaking at Meet-ups, Swift Delhi 21, my first lightning talk experience that I butchered, unfortunately, sigh.

Exploring Google AI SDK for Swift: Gemini AI Model for Text Only Input, Google's new SDK for handling requests and responses for text-only input to their latest Gemini model.

A shoutout to RevenueCat for sponsoring the website and this newsletter! I have been an unofficial advocate since 2020, using it for personal and client apps.

Their latest feature, Paywalls, helps you add paywalls in one line of code. I already used it at work, making it much quicker to iterate, edit, remotely configure and test your app's paywalls!

Quote of the Week

I started a new book after a long while. I like reading, and as usual, I have a New Year resolution to inculcate the habit again. I remember engrossing myself in Steve Jobs by Isaacson, Walter. When I saw that he wrote an authorised biography of Elon Musk, I immediately put it on my wish list. I am around 110 pages into the book, and it is well-written, as expected by Walter. The below line is not a quote, apologies, but the stark difference in how someone thinks is to appreciate.

While other entrepreneurs struggled to develop a worldview, he developed a cosmic view.

Conclusion

I want to keep the first edition concise and explore more based on the feedback. If you have any suggestions or requests, please reply to this email. Thank you for subscribing!

Happy holidays! 🎊
